Equality, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EEDI)
At Rosemead, EEDI is woven into the fabric of our school. Our commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment is reflected in every aspect of school life.
We Are Rosemead
‘We Are Rosemead’ is the umbrella term for all the initiatives we undertake to ensure our school reflects its diverse community. Our work in this area is fundamental and shapes our curriculum, policies and whole-school initiatives.
National Recognition
In 2024, our dedication to EEDI has been recognised nationally:
- Award for Excellence and Innovation in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion at the Independent Schools Association (ISA) Awards.
- Winner of the Best EDIB Award at the Education Choices Awards.
Key Initiatives
Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is reflected in a variety of initiatives, including:

- Child-led assemblies - empowering students to share their cultural heritage.
- A curriculum review ensuring diverse perspectives are represented.
- Portrait of a Generation A whole-school art day, inspired by the portraits of the Windrush generation.
- "Who Do You Think You Are?" topic, where children explore their own heritage and cultural backgrounds.
- A diverse range of visitors, including George Webster of CBeebies fame, who joined us for World Down Syndrome Day.
- Workshops for parents and children as part of Neurodiversity Week.
