Facilities

Situated in the heart of Dulwich, Rosemead Preparatory School comprises of two sites - one for Nursery to Year 2 and one for Year 3 to Year 6 - that are conveniently located just a two-minute walk away from each other. Both sites are within close proximity to West Dulwich or Tulse Hill station.

Starting in the Nursery, one of our notable facilities is the Eco Garden, a picturesque space designed to educate children about plants and wildlife. Within this garden, children can explore various types of plants, including flowers, vegetables, and herbs. Additionally, there is a pond where they can observe fish and frogs, fostering their curiosity and understanding of the natural world.

The Nursery and Reception at Rosemead each have their own dedicated outdoor play area. These areas are equipped with a diverse range of equipment intended to help children develop their social and fine-motor skills. From climbing frames and slides, football pitches and running tracks, these play areas provide ample opportunities for children to engage in physical activity while also fostering social skills and friendship.

PE and Games are both taught a mere 10 minute walk away at Rosendale Fields. These fields serve as venues for school sports activities as well as before and after-school clubs. With football pitches, tennis courts, cricket and hockey pitches available, children have ample space to exercise, participate in sports, and enjoy a healthy dose of outdoor recreation. Our Early-years also use Rosendale Fields for their Forest School learning.

We are proud to offer various other resources, including a sports hall at both the Pre-Prep and Prep and an upper hall at the Pre-Prep specifically engineered for ballet. We have high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the school and the children use class sets of iPads and Chromebooks from Nursery to Year 3. From Year 4 children are issued a one-to-one Chromebook device for their studies.

Both sites have a well-stocked Art room and various music rooms for our peripatetic staff to teach one-to-one music lessons.

We also boast a pre-prep and prep library, accessible to all children. These libraries serve as invaluable spaces for children to explore new topics, indulge in reading for pleasure, and conduct research.

We firmly believe that our facilities create a stimulating and supportive environment for all our children. As such, they play a pivotal role in delivering the best possible learning experience.
