Nursery & Reception Pastoral Care

We place high importance on ensuring the pastoral care we provide is excellent from each child's first day with us at Rosemead. We nurture and foster parental engagement to support the children's transition into Nursery or Reception. We believe that when children are happy they have a higher capability to learn, therefore ensuring every child is happy is a priority.

Children in Nursery and Reception learn through purposeful play which is carefully planned to ensure a progression in key skills, alongside building knowledge and understanding across the curriculum. Early Years  staff build time into every day, to play with the children, supporting the development of their communication and language, as well as modelling sharing and turn taking. Through play the staff get to know each child on a personal level, which ensures our pastoral care at Rosemead remains strong.
